Road tripping

Hi guys,
Sorry for the break in posting. We've had a pretty big Summer so far. It was so fun having Steve's family in town. Right now I am in the car using the Internet in the passenger seat. Isn't technology amazing. We're in Kansas and almost to Colorado. This is going to be a pretty long trip and we won't be back until the 25th. If any of you need me to post anything about your groups please let me know and I'll get it done.

Great turn out!!!

I want to say a great big thank you to everyone who attended enrichment this week! Also, thanks so much to everyone who hepled put it on. Jenny, Angie, Pat, Natalie, and Rachael... I couldn't have done it without you!!!

I really appreciate so many of you coming out to support the enrichment program. For those of you who had food assignments, a big thank you too. I love knowing I can count on all of you. You sisters make my calling so much better! I love you all!!!!

Visiting teaching repoting

As an update to the blog, I've added the phone numbers for reporting your visiting teaching to the sidebar. Since we all know the first digits of the number... I've just posted the last four.

It's important for us to call and report, so that they don't have to call us. I know I'm especially bad at this, but I'm going to do better!

Blogging break over

Ok Ladies... the break is over. I am so excited about the June enrichment program that I am working on. The date is June 9th and it will be held at the church at 6:30 pm. Please be on time because I have a lot of fun thins planned and I don't want you to miss out!

This will be a great night and will definitely be something you can bring a friend to. I hope all of you will come. The more the better for this activity. I will be asking for help with food assignments soon. If you'd like to volunteer, please let me know.

Cooking Group Meets Saturday!!!!

Ok...Sisters.....we canceled our class for March because of Time Out for Women.....so we will keep the same menu for our meeting in April. We will meet at 9 am this Saturday the 18th. Please email me if you are planning on attending. Thanks~Tammy

Time Out For Wisdom

I am so excited to announce the beginning of the Time
Out for Wisdom group!!!  Here is the invitation :)

Join us for good conversation and interesting insights!

The first meeting/activity for Time Out for Wisdom will be
 on Sat. April 25.

All Women of Wisdom(that's all of you sisters out there) are 
invited to a get-together at the Lakeside Park. Please bring your own
lunch and a lawn chair. We will discuss future meetings and topics of
wisdom to share.

We will meet from 10:00-12:00

Birthday Celebration Tonight

Tonight is the Relief Society Birthday dinner. It will be held at the Lake Butler building at 7:00 PM. It is potluck... so bring your best dish. I hope to see you all there!

A great idea!!!

I found this tip on another enrichment blog... and I love it. I think this is a great idea and we should all do it!

I heard this tip from a digital scrapbooker the other day. She said that she has her photos stored online, backed up on a hard drive, and then she has them saved on two flash drives. (Thumb drive, jump drive, memory stick... it all means the same thing :)

She keeps one of the flash drives in her 72 hour kit and the other is in a lock box somewhere away from the house.

That is some serious photo protection! I thought I would pass it along.

Temple Trips

This Tuesday is both the morning and evening temple trips. The morning trip will meet at Sister Jean Waters' house at 8:00 am. The afternoon trip will meet at Sister Rachael Smith's house at 4:30 pm. If you plan to attend please call and let the sisters know so that travel arrangements can be made.

Book Club

The Book club will be meeting 1-20-09 at Natalie Hunter's home @ 7:00 pm. If you have never attended book club and want to get started, or just want to come and see what it's like, you are welcome!

Make Ahead Meals

Hi everyone. Tammy has set the date for the first Make Ahead Meals. We will meet at the church at 9:00. Please be on time and leave little ones at home. I am so excited about this group. My family will be too. I think they are tired of pizza.

Welcome to the new Lake Butler Ward enrichment blog! I am so excited about this new project. My goal is to keep you sisters updated on all of the groups we have going on.
